Qaris from Different Countries Attend Khatm Quran Program in Egypt

IQNA – A weekly program of Khatm Quran (reciting the Quran from beginning to end) was held in Egypt with the participation of qaris from different countries.

During the program, the qaris recite the Quran in the Warsh from Nafi style of recitation.

The foreign reciters taking part in the Quranic event are the contenders in Egypt’s 30^th international Quran competition, which kicked off last week.  

Top Egyptian qaris like Ahmed Ahmed Nuaina, Taha Numani, Ahmed Tamim al-Maraghi, Mohamed Fathallah Bibris, Yusuf Qassim Halawah, Fathi Khalif, and Mahmoud Ali Hassan also attended the Khatm Quran prorgam.

In an address, Egypt’s Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mukhtar Gomaa stressed the need to make efforts so that the Quran is recited in every place and every home.

The 30th edition of Egypt’s international Holy Quran competition got underway on Saturday, December 23, with the particpation of Quran reciters and memorizers from 64 countries.

The Dar-ul-Quran Center of the Masjid Misr in Egypt’s new administrative capital will host the event.
