TEHRAN (IQNA) – One of the central beliefs in almost all religions is the belief in the coming of a savior who is spiritually very strong and is able to establish justice.

Meanwhile, the belief in a savior in Abrahamic religions has many common aspects.

Many religions and cultures believe that a savior will come at the end of times to save mankind and establish peace and justice across the globe. This savior has been described differently in different religions, cultures, and regions, however, the central idea of almost all of them is that the promised savior will save the world from oppressors and create a peaceful and just society.

Hindus are waiting for Vishnu, Buddhists for the fifth Buddha, Jews for Messiah, Christians for Jesus, and Muslims for Hazrat Mahdi (May God Hasten his Advent).

There are numerous references to the coming of the savior in the Holy Quran as the issue has been described as one of the promises of God Almighty. “They seek to extinguish the Light of Allah with their mouths; but Allah will complete His Light, much as the unbelievers dislike it.” (Surah As-Saff, verse 8)

The verse notes that Allah will expand His Light on all the world. This will certainly happen as God never makes any unfulfilled promise.

“We have written in the psalms which We had revealed after the Torah that the earth will be given to Our righteous servants as their inheritance.” (Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 105)

“The Earth” in this verse refers to all the world and as the “righteous servants” have not inherited the earth till now, this should certainly happen.
