The MoU was inked during a trip by the ACECR chief Hamdi Reza Tayyebi to Syria.
It calls for promotion of cooperation between the two sides on technological and student activities.
Tayyebi and his accompanying delegation visited the University of Aleppo on Tuesday and held a meeting with its officials.
He said the ACECR and the University of Aleppo, which is one of the two top academic centers in Syria and has 130,000 students, began their cooperation two years ago.
He added that given the good background of ties, the MoU will help the ACECR and the Aleppo University to expand their interaction in scientific and technological fields.
