Hamas Hails Algeria’s Stance on Normalization of Ties with Israel
Sami Abu Zahri said Hamas appreciates and supports the Algerian official’s criticism of normalization bids and Algiers’ decisive opposition to any normalization with the Tel Aviv regime, RT Arabic reported.
He added that such stances help to impede attempts at extending occupation in the Arab region and in Africa.
Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ramtane Lamamra recently called on Arab countries to support the Palestinian nation instead of helping the Tel Aviv regime to expand its influence in the Arab world.
Lamamra slammed some Libya officials’ statements about normalization with Israel as “irresponsible”, adding that such moves will in no way be helpful in restoration of peace in the region.
Since its independence, Algeria has always maintained a strong stance in support of the Palestinian cause.
