Quran Teacher Training Course Underway in Oman

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An educational course for Quran teachers in Oman has been underway in Al-Seeb city, north of the country, since February 23.

 

According to Al-Watan newspaper, the course started at the conference hall of Sheikh Mohammad bin Umair Al-Hinai Mosque of the city.

Seventy-four Quran teachers who work for centers affiliated to Oman’s Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, Ministry of Education and private schools of different provinces have participated in the program.

Sheikh Mohammad Ali Al-Bahnasawi, supervisor of Quranic schools at the Office for Quran schools of the Ministry of Awqaf who has certificates of Quran recitation in 10 different styles from Egypt, teaches the course.

Salim bin Mohammad Al-Ameri, the general supervisor of Al-Seeb Holy Quran Center, said that it is the fourth edition of the course on Quranic sciences held for teachers from 9 provinces of Oman.

He added that this edition of the educational program is for female Quran teachers and the same course for male teachers will be held next month.

Al-Ameri also said that the objective of the course is to promote Quranic skills of the teachers and develop their knowledge in Sowt, Lahn and methods of teaching Quran.
