Quran Competition Planned in Ottawa

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran memorization competition is planned to be held by the Muslim Students’ Association in Ottawa, Canada.

According to muslimlink.ca, the Ontario MSA Council, in collaboration with ISNA Canada, are hosting the Quran Competition. The competition is composed of both a local and regional stage.

The local competition, being organized by University of Ottawa Muslim Students Association (UOMSA), Carleton University Muslim Students Association (CUMSA), and Assunnah Muslims Association (AMA) will take place in Ottawa on February 21st at the AMA Community Hall.

Local finalists from the competition will then go on to compete and represent the city of Ottawa at the regional competition in Mississauga in March.

Local competition levels are memorization of Surahs al-A'laa, al-Jinn, Luqman, and ar-Room.
