Courses for Muslim Reverts Planned in Egypt

TEHRAN (IQNA) - The International Association of Al-Azhar Graduates plans to hold educational courses for 24 Muslim reverts from the US, Mexico and Colombia.


According to vetogate website, the main objective of the courses is to introduce and disseminate moderate Islam that has nothing to do with extremist thoughts.





Conferences on moderation in Islam, new teaching methods, approaches and criteria of modernism in Islamic thought, methods and criteria of issuing Fatwa, methods of academic research in Islamic thought, Islamic universities and globalization, Quran memorization and methods of teaching Arabic language to non-Arabic speakers are among the programs of the courses.





The participants will have a meeting with Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, head of the association, Shawki Ibrahim Allam, Grand Mufti of Egypt and Muhammad Abdul Fadhil Al-Qawsi, former Egyptian Minister of Awqaf.





A visit to historical and tourist sites of Egypt is another part of the program planned for the new reverts to Islam.
