Preliminary Stage of Taruti Quran Contest Concludes in Egypt

The preliminary stage of the 6th edition of “Taruti” national Quran recitation and Tajweed contest concluded in Egypt.

 According to akhbarak.net, this stage of the contest was held under the supervision of Abdul Fattah Taruti, prominent Egyptian Qari.

The five top participants of the contest were awarded in the closing ceremony of the Quranic event.
The judging board of the contest and top media covering the event, including Al-Wafd and Al-Riyadh newspapers, were also honored by Taruti in the ceremony.
65 Quran reciters from various parts of the country participated at the contest supervised by a group of Al-Azhar scholars, Egypt’s Ministry of Awqaf and Quran experts of the country.
The participants submitted a 7-minute recorded audio file of their recitation of the Holy Quran’s verses to the competition organizers.
The board selected 10 top recitations to compete in the final stage of the contest held at Taruti Islamic Assembly.
Top Quran recitations of the final stage will be available on the website of the Qari.
Winners of the national Quran contest will represent Egypt in international Quran contests in Iran, Iraq and Turkey.
