According to alkafeel.net, the Quran Institute affiliated to the Islamic Teachings and Human Affairs Section of the Astan held the ceremony at the courtyard of the holy shrine.
Addressing the program, Sheikh Javad Al-Nasrawi, director of the instituteو said that the Astan implemented the Quranic plan based on the teachings of the Holy Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).
Some 22,000 Quran learners from different parts of the country participated in the educational program, held for different age groups.
The courses included lessons on Quran reading, Islamic beliefs and jurisprudence, Seerah of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), and Islamic ethics.
The main objective of the plan was to help the students make the best use of their summer holidays and provide an opportunity for their spiritual growth.
Addressing the ceremony, Seyyed Ahmad Al-Safi, custodian of the Astan, and Abbas Rashid Al-Mousawi, member of the Astan’s official council, thanked the organizers and teachers of the courses.
A documentary film featuring the Quranic plan was also screened in the ceremony and the participants lauded the Quranic efforts of the Astan.
