“Imam Hassan (AS)” Cultural Festival Held in Iraq
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 10th edition of the annual cultural festival on the occasion of Imam Hassan’s (AS) birthday anniversary was organized in Hillah city in Babil Province of Iraq, by the Astans (custodianships) of the holy shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS).
According to Al-Kafeel website, "Imam Hassan (AS); wisdom of peace and honor of Islam” was the motto of the cultural program.
It was opened in a ceremony held on June 10 with the participation of a number of religious, cultural and academic figures from different parts of Iraq.
The ceremony included Quran recitation, and performance of Tawasheeh and eulogies on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of the second infallible Imam (AS).
A number of Quranic, research and literary programs, exhibitions of Quranic artworks and photo exhibitions were held on the sidelines of the festival.
