Bahrain’s Tamarrod (rebellion) movement has named December 17 as the Day of Civil Disobedience in the country.

The movement issued a statement inviting all people in Bahrain to take part in the day’s activities, Al-Manar news network reported.

It said peaceful resistance (against the ruling regime) is Bahraini people’s right and urged that it should continue.

Tamarrod movement also called on Bahrainis to take part in the demonstrations planned for December 5 and 6.

The two days’ rallies aim to convey the voice of Bahrain’s revolution to the international delegations participating in the Manama Dialogue.

The Tamarrod movement further stressed that dictatorship in Bahrain will only end if political, security and military supports for the Al Khalifa regime stops.

Bahrain has been the scene of anti-regime protests since February 2011. Scores of people have been killed and hundreds more injured in the regime crackdown.
