Online Ramadan Programs for Women Planned in Iraq

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Husseini Sermons Section of the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine announced its online programs that are held for women during the holy month of Ramadan.

 

 

According to Al-Kafeel website, the programs planned for different age groups will on the first day of the holy month (Wednesday).

Taghrid Al-Tamimi, head of the section, said that the programs include online daily Quran reading, competitions on Quranic, religious, jurisprudential, literary, historical and moral issues as well as Seerah of the infallibles (AS), sessions to clarify Quranic concepts, and a competition on memorization of Iftitah Supplication.

The section holds various programs in Ramadan every year. This year’s programs of the section will be held online due to the coronavirus restrictions.

Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar. It is a period of prayer, fasting, charity giving and self–accountability for Muslims around the world.

During Ramadan, Muslims fast (abstain from foods and drinks) from sunrise to sunset.

They also devote a considerable amount of time during this month to reading and contemplating the Quran.
