Quranic Manuscripts at Ahar Museum

TEHRAN (IQNA) – There are many Quranic works and items at the Literature and Mysticism Museum in Ahar, Iran’s northwestern province of East Azarbaijan.

They include 6 manuscript copies of the Quran dating back to the Safavid and Qajar dynasties.

The museum is next to the tomb of Sheikh Shahab al-Din Ahari, a 12th-13th century mystic from the city of Ahar.

The museum’s building dates back to the early years of the Safavid era.
