Martyr Soleimani Monument Unveiled in Beirut (+Video)
The ceremony, held at the Ghobeiry district of Beirut on Tuesday, was attended by members of resistance groups from Lebanon and Palestine as well as Lebanese MPs and different groups of people, according to RT Arabic.
The participants underlined the need to continue the path of the senior commander until liberation of the holy city of Jerusalem al-Quds.
Saturday marked the first anniversary of martyrdom of General Soleimani and his companions in a US drone attack in Baghdad.
The top commander was assassinated on January 3, 2020 in a drone strike in Baghdad upon a direct order by US President Donald Trump.
His Iraqi trenchmate Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy commander of Iraq’s Hashd al-Sha’abi anti-terror force, along with several others were also killed when their convoy was hit.
