TEHRAN (IQNA) – Palestinian resistance movements Hamas and Islamic Jihad underlined their support for popular moves in the West Bank against the Zionist regime’s annexation scheme.

In a joint statement on Saturday, the movements hailed efforts by all Palestinians against the plot, al-Manar reported.

The statement was released after a meeting of leaders of the two movements, Ismail Haniyeh and Ziyad al-Nakhalah.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has set July 1st for the start of cabinet discussions on annexing illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank as well as the Jordan Valley.

Israel’s plan to steal more Palestinian land enjoys the full support of the United States.

Palestinians want the occupied West Bank as part of their future independent Palestinian state with al-Quds as its capital.

Israel’s annexation plan has enraged Palestinians and drawn international criticism.
