TEHRAN (IQNA) – Doctors from Tehran who wish to be part of the medical team serving Iranian Hajj pilgrims took an exam and attended an interview on Tuesday.

According to Jamaleddin Alvani, head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Center, a total of 110 doctors, 70 men and 40 women, took the examination.

He added that such examinations and interviews are held on 21 provinces and those who score the highest will be selected to join this year’s Hajj medical team.

Earlier this month, Head of Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Ali Reza Rashidian said a total of 87,500 pilgrims will go to Hajj this year.
