Course on Islamic Thought to Be Held in Tamale, Ghana

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 3rd edition of an international course on Islamic thought will be held in Tamale, the capital of the Northern Region of Ghana.

 

According to the Iranian Cultural Center in Ghana, the course will also be held simultaneously in Kano and Lagos cities of Nigeria. It will start on December 23 and continue until December 31.

Introduction to the main concepts of Islamic thought and its manifestation in history, arts, politics, ethics, aesthetics and other aspects of life, analysis and evaluation of Islamic history, the contemporary thought in the West and making use of research methodology in Islamic thought are among the themes of the course.

Students from Nigeria, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Gambia will take the course, which will be taught by experts from Nigeria, Uganda and Ghana.

The two previous editions of the course were held in Accra, the capital of Ghana.
