Cultural Group Promoting Ashura Culture in Poland
TEHRAN (IQNA) – An Iranian cultural-arts group named “Hoomehr” will hold special ritual programs in Poland on the occasion of Arbaeen.
The group of artists from Bushehr province in the south of Iran will start the programs on October 19.
They will include traditional musical performances of Bushehr and Taziyeh (passion play).
Warsaw University, Lublin Municipality, Asia and Pacific Museum, Praga Cultural Center of Warsaw and Dominican Church in Lublin will host the programs, to be held in cooperation with the Iranian embassy in Poland.
Titled "Manifestation of Divine Truth", the programs aim to introduce the message of the Ashura movement in the European country.
The group started its activity in 1996 and has performed similar ritual programs on the occasion of the lunar Hijri month of Muharram in different countries.
