Int'l Halal Expo Planned in Penang, Malaysia on Jan. 26
Themed ‘Creativity and Innovation’, the event will take place at the Subterranean Penang International Convention and Exhibition (SPICE) Arena in Relau from Jan 26 to 28.
State Religious Affairs, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Datuk Abdul Malik Abul Kassim said the event had grown in stature over the years, with participants coming from Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Korea, Japan and Pakistan.
“A business matching session will also be conducted to connect various halal supply chain players from within the country and internationally for their extensive products and services.
“The ‘Ambient Cake & Coffee Pairing Competition’ will also be held at the main arena of SPICE for the third year,” he said during a press conference at Komtar.
Abdul Malik also said the Penang International Halal Chef Challenge (PIHCC) would be held for the fifth year.
