According to the center, the "Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)" Dar-ol-Quran at the blue mosque hosted the Quranic event on October 21.
The Friendship Association of Iran and the Philippines cooperated in organizing the competition.
More than 50 students of the Dar-ol-Quran, aged 12 to 18, competed in the memorization of one, two and three Juzes (parts) of Quran.
In a speech at the opening of the competition, Mohammad Ja’fari Malek, Iranian cultural attaché in Manila, said that the Holy Quran helps to distinguish the true Islam from what is falsely claimed to be related to the religion.
