Moscow Int’l Quran Contest and Sidelines
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 18th edition of the Moscow international Quran contest was held in the Russian capita city on October 6-8.
It was organized under the supervision of Sheikh Ravil Gaynetdin, the chairman of the Russian Council of Muftis.
Moscow’s grand mosque hosted the competition, which was attended by Quran reciters from various Muslim and non-Muslim countries.
Representatives of Iran won the top prize at the contest and the contender from Bahrain came second.
There were also programs and activities, including exhibitions, held on the sidelines of the competition.
